On a long holiday weekend when many in the media are on vacation Sarah Palin drops the bombshell that she is quitting as Governor of Alaska effective immediately. The news rocked the “politicol” world of both republicans and democrats which left the media scratching their heads for answers. The story has even put Michael Jackson’s mysterious and sudden death on the back page which previously put the revolt in Iran on the back page. In the midst of it all we have another rambling Republican who has seen his soul mate in Argentina.
The pundits are all befuddled and bewildered not so much as to the reason she resigned the Governorship but because what she articulated wasn’t making any sense. In this instance Sarah Palin really needed to be reading from a teleprompter as she did during the campaign because she often strayed off message.

Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin shocked the media in a punk like sort of fashion with no warning and her husband Todd Palin by her side with the kids screaming in the background-just the way she likes her press conferences. “ I am determined to take the right path for Alaska” seemed like a self deprecating statement and the fact that she blamed the media for the attacks on her and her family she even brought her child up as an offering example of the ridicule she endures. Anderson Cooper questioned that statement because he felt no one has been speaking of her child. Along with the “poorly run political campaign of the McCain -Palin presidential campaign she was under attack for attacking Barack Obama for “palling around terrorists” and accused him of being one of those socialists.
Sarah Palin got the redneck base so much into a freezy that they chanted “kill him – kill him” at her rallies- every time she mentioned Obama’s name. It was kind of like attending a Klu Klux Klan meeting with some pro-lifers who kill doctors in the crowd also since Palin is a pro-lifer politician.
But is that a reason to quit? Not really and it doesn’t hold water because during the campaign our Sarah came out swinging in her vicious attacks on the then Senator Barack Obama.
She stated that “ for my state and for my family to progress….I will not seek re-election as governor” she voiced her opinion that her successor Parnell will continue her legislative successes. Many critics say that she is either leaving her state high and dry at the worst economic time because she is incompetent or she is leaving to pursue a more national Republican party position to gear up the base for the next Presidential election.
Palin’s approval rating dropped like a stone after the election and in her own state. In her bizarre ramblings during the speech which made no sense or had no cohesion she made analogies to a basketball game and passing the ball so the team could win. One could read into this as her own ambition to become the first Republican female President or to prop up some other candidate for the party. Her following would add to the dynamics of the 2012 Presidential election if she is prepping for that in her statement.
It would not be the first time that Palin faced opposition in her own state the state public health directorBeverly W ooley left and she is the second top official next to Jay Butler to leave in recent times.
This gives Palin the opportunity to travel and attend to a campaign outside of government as she did not address an end to her political career in her speech.
She said “many just accept that lame duck status and they hit that road. They draw a paycheck” they kind of milk it. And I am not going to put Alaskans through that”. However, Mrs. Palin did not recall that she double billed on her expense account before she was in the running for the 2008 election. The year prior she billed for hotel rooms when she was at her own home. She always brings her family with her where ever she travels and the state has to pay for their expenses. Palin also has a conflict of interest with the oil business because her husband Todd works in that very same industry. The Alaska Pipeline build has not progressed although in her mind it has already been built which she takes full credit for its completion.
In her rambling nonsensical speech she compared herself to a dead fish, a wounded soldier in Kosovo and appeared flaky as a person who believes her own random thoughts that transport her not to political gain but to more speculation that she will fail because she is a flake. If it wasn’t any more obvious then, it is now clear that Sarah Palin is dysfunctional as a politican and her road to the White House is marred in her forgetting her Republican family values when it comes to her unwed teenage daughter.
Yes this was classic Sarah Palin as convoluted, unclear ramblings of a woman who is out of her league and the princess principal of achieving a position for which you are totally unqualified and inexperienced to maintain in the future.

What everyone is asking is that if she was offered 11 million dollars for a book deal is she just resigning and taking the RNC up on campaigning for another candidate which we quite doubt is her intention. Or, is she backing off public life for a few years to learn how to conduct a speech and shoot some wolves in her spare time. One never knows with Sarah Palin -but its fun having her back in the lime light. Maybe she will have her own show and run against Oprah or maybe she will team up with Rush Limbaugh one of her very biggest fans for the 2012 campaign. Or her best bet is to join forces with another rambler from South Carolina.
Someone better give Neiman Marcus and Saks the heads up.

why are you all so afraid of her? Granted her speach ramble a little, but the message was stong.
she did what she said she would as gov. of Alaska. when was the last time anyone in washington did what they said they would? I live in IL and no one does what they say they will, they get in and live off of the tax payers.
shame on the women of america who are afraid of a real woman doing the right things for her state and her family. I am a business woman and I applaud her.

Totally – we could not decipher her speech let alone follow it in any coherent manner. The media and the world are still puzzled as to what Sarah was trying to say during her resignation. We sincerely hope she spends some of that 12 million dollars from her new book on english composition and writing classes, then speech lessons and perhaps a teleprompter or two.
In any regard- they should keep her from Neimans and Saks….she needs to invest in more than clothes.
